Completed in time for 2023’s second semester, one wing of the medical school was demolished internally and re-fitted to provide modern teaching facilities for pharmaceutical students. 

Updating the existing 1968 Grafton site had its challenges – including the fact that the building and surrounding floors was still an operating teaching facility. The floor footprint was also deceptively small, requiring coordination of different services in a staged approach. 

With classes and final exams continuing around the project team, working hours needed to be adjusted to ensure learning wasn’t compromised.
