Te Rangihīroa College (TRH) is a new hall of residence with rooms for 450 Students. The building incorporates a dining hall, kitchen, multi-function communal spaces, offices, reception and college staff accommodation. 

Living in a hall of residence is a rite of passage for many first year University of Otago students. Undergraduates in the 2024 intake will have the opportunity to live at Te Rangihīroa College, the University’s most modern college facility, only a five minute walk from the campus. 

Catering to around 500 students, residents will benefit from brand new modern rooms, with a focus on shared spaces to encourage a sense of community and to grow friendships that will last beyond the university years. 

As a home away from home, the college features a large dining room with full meal services, social lounge, media and music rooms, and two dedicated study spaces. It’s also a 5-Star Green Star rated building.
